The competition is aimed at raising awareness of the amazing work Barnardos do and encouraging young people to help children who need it most.

Amy and Olivia are both students of Scoíl Bhríde in their hometown of Bandon, Co. Cork and they have now won a family holiday for four to the 4-Star Golden Day Wings Hotel in Kusadasi, Turkey, courtesy of competition sponsor Sunway.

Kieran McDaid, Editor of The Irish Sun says: “The Big Toddle Colouring Competition is a heart-warming and worthwhile campaign and watching the entries arrive via post and email is always one of the highlights of our year in The Irish Sun.As always the standard was very high this year so it’s testament to Amy and Olivia’s talents that they were picked as the winners and I hope they and their family have an absolutely brilliant holiday in Turkey.

The Irish Sun is delighted to continue our long running media partnership with Barnardos and already I’m looking forward to what 2024 will have for us.”

Alison Healy, Head of Events with Barnardos, says: “We have been absolutely thrilled with the response to this year’s Barnardos Big Toddle colouring competition with The Irish Sun. The effort and creativity shown by all the children has been quite impressive and it’s wonderful to see so many children taking part again this year.

It was an extremely tough decision for our judging panel, but the two winning entries really stood out and captured our attention from the moment we saw them. So colourful and with impeccable attention to detail, Amy and Olivia created two beautiful pictures.

We’re very grateful to The Irish Sun for partnering with Barnardos again to host our favourite annual colouring competition and helping us to raise awareness that childhood lasts a lifetime. We’re also incredibly grateful to Sunway Holidays for sponsoring such an amazing sun holiday which I have no doubt the Wronka family will thoroughly enjoy.”

Mary Denton, CEO of Sunway, says: “Sunway is an Irish family business and so we are delighted to support Barnardos in their work supporting families in Ireland. Their work is invaluable in every part of Ireland and so Sunway are proud to help them through our sponsorship of the Big Toddle colouring competition. We hope that Amy and Olivia and their parents have a wonderful time in Kusadasi. Thanks too to the Irish Sun for their work with us on this.”
