Published on March 5, The Sunday Times Ireland Rich List broke sales records for the publisher. The 32-page section provided the definitive guide to Ireland’s richest 300. This issue produced the title’s highest all-Ireland paid sale (print/digital) for three years. It was also the biggest paid sale (print/digital) since March 2014. In addition, the March 5 paper yielded the highest all-Ireland/Republic newsprint only sales since April 2015 and biggest Ulster newsprint sale since June 2016*.
These figures are particularly impressive given that The Sunday Times marketed the publication using only its own assets and without any television advertising.
Delighted with the results, The Sunday Times Ireland Editor Frank Fitzgibbon said: “This is the first time we published the Irish Rich List separately from the combined UK & Ireland Rich List.”
