The publisher of Irish Mirror, Dublin Live, RSVP Live, and Belfast Live has had a brilliant start to the New Year with all three websites in the Republic showing record growth.

Editor-in-Chief John Kierans said it is a fantastic tribute to a wonderful young team of journalists and also their phenomenal hard work.

“Each of the Editors Colin Brennan [Irish Mirror], Aengus O’Hanlon [Dublin Live] and Jane Lundon [RSVP Live] and their individual teams have done an amazing job and it’s thanks to their continual support and investment in our newsbrands that our audiences are getting bigger and bigger!”

According to the publisher, in January, Irish Mirror.ie users were up 64 percent year on year to 6.5million global users generating over 19million article views across desktop and mobile (up 40 percent year on year).

Over 1.2million video views on the Irish Mirror website saw a growth of 99 percent in video engagement on the site year on year.

The Irish Mirror Facebook page was also best-performing news page in Ireland in the first two months of the year with 17pc share of voice according to Crowdtangle; 5pc more than the next ranked competitor sites joe.ie and independent.ie.

Dublin Live users increased by 79 per cent to 1.8million (global users) and RSVP Live grew its page views and audience in the same period (January 2019).
