EVOKE.ie’s sponsorship of the FAI Women’s Senior Cup has been shortlisted for a Diversity in Digital award in this year’s Spider Awards.
The Diversity in Digital category recognises a company that has created a campaign that has led the diversity agenda to break brown barriers and promote a diverse community. Entrants were asked to demonstrate how they have helped improve organisational resilience for their customers through foresight, strategy, planning, clear communication and implementation.
In 2021 dmg media continued their sponsorship of the Extra.ie FAI Senior Cup. However, they increased their FAI Sponsorship by sponsoring the EVOKE.ie FAI Women’s Cup for the first time, increasing awareness, attendance and TV viewers of the Cup Final last November at Tallaght Stadium.
According to Dearbhla Meaney, Group Marketing Manager with dmg media,: “We take great pride in this, our largest sponsorship for EVOKE.ie at a time when the FAI have shown great vision for the future of women’s football under the guidance of their CEO Jonathan Hill. At dmg media, we understand the importance of sport and in particular want to support young women to stay in sport which we continue to message through EVOKE.ie to our 1 million users every month.”
The Spider Awards are the longest-running digital awards programme in Ireland, dedicated to recognising companies and individuals driving digital excellence in every aspect of their ethos. Winners will be announced at The Spider Awards live ceremony in March 2022.
