The Irish Times took home a Gold award at the biennial ADFX Awards 2016, held in September. The award was made for the news brand’s most recent marketing campaign. The Irish Times were one of only seven gold winners from a shortlist of 80 brands.  The ADFX awards is organised by IAPI (Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland) and honours the most effective advertising campaigns in the Irish market based on the proven impact of advertising and marketing.

The winning campaign presented The Irish Times’s journalists as people of integrity, conviction and talent and highlighted the strengths of its offering. This made a convincing case to consumers that The Irish Times is worth paying for, both in hard copy and in digital format. The campaign was underpinned by the launch of a new brand line – The Irish Times, You Are What You Read.
