November was Food Month at The Irish Times, the publication’s annual celebration of all things food and drink related. Throughout the month, daily content was published across all platforms, from ‘Six-Ingredient Suppers’, to recipe videos and special reader events.

This was the sixth year of Food Month, and it began with a special 52-page Winter Food & Drink Guide that came free with The Irish Times.

The Irish Times also launched The Food and Drink Club, a monthly newsletter with exclusive food related offers, content and events.

Food Tours were a strong feature of this year’s Food Month with Lilly Higgins, Catherine Cleary and many more heading up extensive Food Tours around Dublin & Cork.

Food Month culminated in a special reader event hosted by Rachel Collins, editor of The Irish Times Saturday Magazine, with a live interview with Sarah Breen and Emer McLysaght authors of the best-selling novels ‘Oh My God What A Complete Aisling’ and ‘The Importance of Being Aisling’ (winner of The An Post Popular Fiction Book of the Year 2018). The evening consisted of fun & games as well as an ‘Aisling’-themed cooking demo by Irish Times Food writer Lilly Higgins. The event was sponsored by TD Active.
