The Irish Farmers Journal now has 321,400 print readers on the Island of Ireland – an increase of 25,500 weekly readers on 2020 according to Kantar Media’s 2021 TGI Survey. The survey also reveals that the title has an almost equal split between male and female readers (53% male and 47% female). Furthermore, 40% of its weekly print readers are now under 35 years of age.

Commenting on the new readership figures, Justin McCarthy, Editor & CEO said:

“Our record readership figures are a further endorsement of our editorial strategy which is to continue to invest in producing high quality, unique and trusted content that our readers value. The record figures are also an endorsement as to the capacity and commitment of the team right across the Irish Farmers Journal who have continued to serve farmers, rural dwellers and the wider agricultural industry despite the challenges of covid-19. On behalf of all the team in the Irish Farmers Journal I express a sincere thank you to each of our 321,400 weekly print readers and our digital readers for their continued support”.
