The Irish Examiner Cork City Marathon will take place on Sunday, June 2, with both pro and budding runners and walkers being encouraged to take part.

Marathon entries have grown over the past two years and 2019’s event is expected to exceed once more, with sights set on beating the target of 10,000 registrations. Those who might feel like a marathon would be too much can take part in the Half Marathon or join the Team Relay with a group of friends, family or colleagues.

This is the 13th year of the Irish Examiner Cork City Marathon – a sure sign that the event is flourishing. Last year saw 320 international athletes from countries such as the US, Spain, France and the UK.
