Denise Turner, Insight Director with NewsWorks UK, to speak at forthcoming NewsBrands Ireland breakfast seminar

All marketing professionals invited to ‘Power of Newsbrands’ event taking place on Tuesday, October 22nd in The Morrison Hotel

Denise Turner, Insight Director with NewsWorks, the marketing body for UK newsbrands, has been confirmed as a guest speaker at NewsBrands Ireland’s forthcoming ‘Power of Newsbrands’ breakfast seminar taking place in The Morrison Hotel on Tuesday, October 22nd 2019.

As part of her presentation, Denise will discuss why advertisers are missing out on valuable customers and profit by under-investing in news publisher platforms. Using examples of recent research, she will present the case for newsbrands as well as busting some myths along the way. Denise will discuss the evidence from recent research studies NewsWorks have conducted, including work by renowned effectiveness guru, Peter Field, and a neuroscience project that demonstrates that newsbrands deliver high levels of engagement with advertising on premium editorial sites eliciting stronger long term memory encoding than ads viewed on social media sites.

The event will be MC’ed by Peter McPartlin, chair of the NewsBrands Ireland ‘Power of Planning’ competition. Peter has many years experience in the Irish media and marketing industry, working with some of the country’s largest agencies, brands and media owners. He is passionate about media and music and writes and speaks regularly on various aspects of both industries.

The seminar will also see presentations and discussion on the power of newsbrands platforms from Mitchell O’ Gorman, MD of Kantar Media Ireland, and Áine Smyth, Marketing and Communications Manager, Audi Ireland.

All marketing professionals are invited to attend this event but must register with NewsBrands Ireland by Friday, 18th of October. The breakfast seminar is part of the annual NewsBrands Ireland ‘Power of Planning’ competition for junior agency planners. Please note that agency teams signed up for the Planning Competition will automatically be registered to attend the event.
