‘Scéal’, launching on April 15th, will be a weekly publication, delivered with the Irish Times and Irish Examiner every Tuesday.

Editor Éanna Ó Caollaí has designed the paper to reflect the Irish language’s position as a living, contemporary language.  Scéal will cover topical events alongside cultural reviews, profiles and interviews and coverage of Irish language events. The educational component includes a weekly lesson aimed at all proficiency levels and will be distributed to schools around Ireland.

The publication will serve both fluent speakers and learners alike through a diverse mix of content including current news, cultural coverage, and educational materials. Throughout the publication, foclóir boxes and bilingual elements create accessibility for readers at different proficiency levels.
