NewsBrands Ireland has commenced a series of education events in Ireland’s top agencies. The Engage events are designed to showcase the power of multiplatform news brands advertising and to highlight the power of journalism to connect with mass audiences.

The first event took place in Dentsu Ireland and featured a showcase of campaigns and case studies from NewsBrands Ireland member publishers. This was accompanied by a wide ranging panel discussion with Ciara Phelan, Irish Examiner Political Reporter, David Cochrane, Director of Audience Growth with the Business Post, and Garret Brennan, Editor of Extra.ie.on how modern newsrooms connect with readers using data analytics and quality journalism,

The next event took place in Group M and featured a discussion with Cliona Mooney, Group Data Analytics & Insights Director with The Irish Times and Sybil Mulcahy, DMG Media’s Head of Content for Female Brands. The audience of media planners were presented with facts and figures about the news brands audience – 82% read a news title every week – and with case studies and research demonstrating the power of newsbrands.

The Engage agency events are a follow-on from NewsBrands’s long running Power of Planning competition and Engage conference which take place in Spring every yeqr.
