Irish Examiner Agri Month returns for September 2023

September is Agri Month at the Irish Examiner. In conjunction with content partners ICMSA and the National Biodiversity Centre, Irish Examiner Farming will create a month of focused content that will resonate with today’s farm communities and businesses. Ranging from climate change to farm safety, the content will be delivered across weekly print publication and digital platforms including ‘Trending Topic’ on the irishexaminer.com homepage and social channels. The Irish Examiner has a strong rural audience, with 39% of Irish Examiner readers living in rural locations while 28% are from a farming background.

Week one of Agri Month will focus on sustainability with a comprehensive series of articles examining the key role of Irish farmers as guardians of the environment.

The second week of content will look at the National Ploughing Championships and farm safety including and in-paper supplement on the National Ploughing Championships, published on September 14, featuring interviews and profiles of the VIPs, entertainers and popular personalities and the companies attending this year’s exhibition, along with guides to road access.

Week three of Agri Month will focus on farm succession and community with expert advice across a range of topics around asset transfer, from writing a will and managing a farm transfer to more complex inheritance issues. Irish Examiner Agri Month will conclude with a print supplement on week four in association with ICMSA including discussions on the future of the Irish dairy sector, farmer exit schemes and milk supply.
