This autumn, breakingnews.ie is re-launching with a significantly improved user experience and highly effective media solutions for brands. As part of a major revamp, the newly-designed website and app will cater to their mobile majority audience.  In the coming months, they’ll be rolling out several innovations, along with increased social media activity as they continue to affirm their position as the newsbrand of choice for breaking news.

The latest TGI release shows a very positive growth story for breakingnews.ie with an increase in monthly reach of 29% YOY.

breakingnews.ie offers brands the opportunity to speak to a loyal and highly engaged audience, 85% of their readers visit the site daily with 63% consuming four or more articles per visit. Breakingnews.ie plays an essential part in their reader’s daily news consumption routine as they top and tail their day with their content at peak usage times in the early morning and late evening.

Driven by a team of newly-hired journalists, breakingnews.ie is edited by Michael McAleer. Having started out on the original team developing The Irish Times website in 1996, McAleer has worked on the brand’s news desk, business desk and features department. His most recent role was as assistant business editor, overseeing coverage of technology and innovation. He remains The Irish Times motoring editor.

Over the coming months, our group media solutions teams look forward to working with clients to roll out new and innovative commercial opportunities.
