Reach partnership with CCPC and Havas Media

Reach Ireland have announced a partnership with Havas Media and the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) for their Car Check initiative, now live on Irishmirror.ie.

Havas approached Reach with a request for something unique and impactful to ensure this campaign would stand out and inform the Irish public of their rights when buying used cars.

To bring the campaign to life, Reach produced a playful video and content series entitled ‘Undercover Dealer,’ offering an insider’s guide to what to watch out for when purchasing a second-hand car, all from the perspective of a real car dealer. The six-part video and content series highlights key factors to consider when buying a used car, such as PCPs, clocked cars, hire purchase agreements, and disguised traders. The goal of the series is to equip the Irish public with the latest knowledge on purchasing used cars, brought to you by the Consumer Protection Commission.

The creative team in Reach also developed interactive native quizzes and educational content to maximise engagement and ensure that the CCPC’s message reaches and informs the audience, helping them make informed decisions for their next car purchase.

Utilising our 1st party data, Reach are also contextually targeting their motor interest audience in the form of rich media interscrollers and high impact display to ensure an always on approach for the 3 month partnership.
