NewsBrands awards Alchemy Event Management contract to run new Irish Journalism Awards

NewsBrands Ireland have awarded Alchemy Event Management the contract to run the new Irish Journalism Awards.

Alchemy will now take over the reins from NewsBrands Ireland and will be entirely responsible for all elements of the awards including entry criteria, category decisions, sponsorship, table sales, promotion, judging, and event management.

Sponsored by Google News Initative and supported by NewsBrands Ireland , entry to the new Irish Journalism Awards is open to any work published in print, online, video, or audio from national newspapers or digital news members of The Press Council of Ireland with a focus on national/ international news.

The awards programme celebrates the best in Irish journalism and features a total of 23 categories spanning all areas and disciplines of modern journalism.

An independent judging panel, once again chaired by Claire Grady, will decide the shortlist and winners in each category. Each panel member has been carefully chosen for their integrity, passion, and excellence in the field of journalism.

The full judging panel will be announced in September 2023.
