Mirror Media, one of Ireland’s biggest news media organisations, is marking the first anniversary of its acquisition of RSVP magazine and rsvplive.ie.
It was the company’s first business acquisition in Ireland, which also publishes the Irish Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People as well as irishmirror.ie, DublinLive and BelfastLive. Acquiring RSVP brought the publishers portfolio of newsbrands to four print titles and four websites.
RSVP magazine, under the leadership of Paula Lenihan since 2011, is Ireland’s top-selling women’s magazine and was named Consumer Magazine of the Year 2017 at the Irish Magazine Awards back in November. While the website, which was rebranded to rsvplive.ie in November, recorded its biggest audience month ever in March with over 1.8 million unique users coming to the site.
Reflecting on the past 12 months since becoming part of the Mirror Media family, Editor of the magazine Paula Lenihan said: “Team RSVP Live are delighted with the growth in our numbers since joining Mirror Media, working in a busy newsroom has many benefits that we have been reaping over the past 12 months.
“We are committed to entertaining, empowering and inspiring the women of Ireland with motivational real-life stories, breaking news in health, diet, wellness, parenting and family.
“We don’t take ourselves too seriously so high on our agenda you’ll also find celebs, entertainment news, TV and the fun factor. If it’s on the radar of Irish women we’ll be covering it.”
Last month, over 9.6 million people accessed Mirror Media’s websites and apps.
