This week marks the start of the 2018 Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup competition. It is a unique competition as every junior, intermediate and senior club starts off the season with the opportunity to win it. It’s where junior and intermediate clubs find themselves in the drum with the SSE Airtricity League teams and is a major milestone for those whose journey started as far back as last September.
This year the Irish Daily Mail set to award a €2,000 prize fund to the last non-league club left in the competition, there were two all non-league ties with Dublin Bus set to host CIE Ranch and Leeds set to travel to Maynooth University Town.
The Irish Daily Mail have also launched a special Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup Final ticket give-away – where every reader can claim a pair of Premium tickets to the final at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday, November 4th 2018.
According to Sinead Lambe, Marketing Manager of DMG Media Ireland: ‘We are delighted to continue our sponsorship of the Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup and be so closely associated with one of the longest running and important competitions on the Irish sporting landscape. It’s a competition that recognises and rewards those people who champion the true spirit of the game’.
