NNI Journalism Awards Rules of Entry
Entries are not currently being accepted for the NNI Journalism Awards. Previous entry details can be viewed below.
Eligibility
Work that was first published in any of the 16 NNI titles and the 25 NNI local and regional titles, or its related digital platform, between September 1, 2012, and August 31, 2013, is eligible for entry.
Judging
The judging panel is made up of a cross-section of some of the best-known and most experienced newspaper journalists in the country. The judges’ decision is final.
Entry
Entries will only be accepted if they are submitted via the online entry process, with the exception of the Best Design and Presentation category and the Newspapers in Education Supplement / Initiative category, which are via post to arrive no later than September 17th.
With the exception of Headline, where multiple entries can be made by a publication, entry to other categories is restricted to one entry per journalist so please pick your best three articles to support your entry. You can however submit the same work in another category.
Only one screen resolution PDF file is allowed per article/work sample. If your article/work sample appeared across multiple pages, please save the entire article into one document for submission. The judges will only accept entries in this format.
Entries must be the sole work of the named entrant or editorial team.
Entrants for the Young Journalist of the Year award must be aged 26 or younger on December 31, 2013.
The Judging Panel, at their discretion, can nominate work for inclusion, subject to the approval of the creator of the work.
